We are the only one school in Kyoto to have such a parity in the students’ nationalities. We are very proud to have, every year, students from everywhere in such a way we have less Asian students than westerners when most of the schools have 70 to 80% of Asians only. This balance is really important for us as it is one of the reasons our conversational level is so high.

When you are only with students from your country, you just need to speak in your mother tongue out of the class to be understood. However, when you have a lot of student from different nationalities, you have to speak either in English or in Japanese and because a lot of our students are not fluent in English either, you will try to speak in Japanese to understand each other.

Finally, being in a language school is one of the best ways to exchange your culture and your point of view on different topics. Having a lot of different nationalities enlarge the possibilities to learn about other cultures and to make friends from all over the world.

Accommodation

- A wide choice of furnished accommodation available.

- We make the reservation for you.

- Everything is ready for your arrival.

Finding an apartment in Japan as a foreign student is not easy.  A lot of agencies ask for a Japanese guarantor, the property is unfurnished and sometimes owners only accept students from a specific country or do not accept foreigners at all. In addition, there is a lot of fees applied by real estate agencies as if you were a Japanese citizen: Key money, Deposit, Agency commission, Fire Insurance, Change door key fee etc… which result in most of the time in paying 200k or 250k yen on your move-in when your rent is only 50k-60k yen/month.

However, Nihongo Center has a lot of connection with various housing agencies through Kyoto and all accommodations we recommend are safe, no Japanese guarantor needed, furnished and ready for the day of your arrival, no matter the location you choose.

From single apartments to share house rooms, we can provide a large panel of properties for every student. We send you the list of available accommodations, you give us your choices and we make the reservation for you.

It is simple.

Visa application

Worried about how to get a student visa ?

- We check all your documents until it is perfect

- The school applies on your behalf

- Almost 100% of CoE issuance rate

Applying for a student visa requires quite a lot of documents depending on your nationality and it might be a little scary to fill in everything on your side. Fortunately, most of the Japanese language schools will apply on your behalf. However, depending on the school, the type, as well as the number of documents you will be asked, will be very different.

The reason is that every school is ranked by the immigration depending on the number of students from countries with many illegal residents in Japan (China, Vietnam, Mongolia, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Nepal).

Students from these countries need to provide a lot of documents for themselves and guarantors, and, even if you are from any other country, the immigration will be very strict regarding your application because the school applies on your behalf.

However, at Nihongo Center, since we have very few students from these countries, and had 0% of illegal residents for the past 39 years, the immigration requires less documents from our part and we are very proud to have almost 100% of issue for the Certificate of Eligibility(CoE*) when some schools don’t even have 50% of issuance.
